Recover accidentally deleted photos from flash disk
Did you accidentally erased photos/files from compact flash disk? Recuva can recover these deleted files. Recuva is a freeware.

It goes without saying that the flash disk should not have been used after erasing to recover the files.
Note: Most of the camera uses FAT file system. FAT file system just changes the first character in the file name to a special character, without deleting the file content.

Setting Owner’s Name in Canon Rebel XT Camera
There is owner name field in the metadata (EXIF) created by the Rebel XT in jpeg as well as RAW files.
If you like to have your name appear in this field in those files, connect your camera using USB to the computer (Mac OS X or Windows).
The Camera Window software is launched automatically, otherwise start the Canon’s Camera Window Software manually.
Select Set to Camera tab and select Confirm/changes camera settings button, which pops another dialog window.
Add your name in Owner's Name text box. Click Apply, OK and Finish. Next time you shoot, your name is embedded in the image file.
